* My daughter loved the poem and illustrations. It has a great story line and teaches a valuable lesson about stranger danger. This is a must read for all children.
* A few nights ago a co-worker who bought "Another Chicken Story: The Stranger Danger" for his grandson, approached me to tell me that the boy absolutely loved it. What was most interesting to me is that apparently the boy can't even read yet, but the man said that the boy sat in a chair and went through it page by page looking at the pictures, studying them carefully. The co-worker offered that the illustrations must be just the right shapes and colors to capture the boys attention because he's never seen him take such care or time with any other book before.
* This is an amazing children's book by a good friend. It teaches kids and parents on how to recognize danger. Wonderful job Ken!!!
* Not long ago a man who purchased Another Chicken Story: The Stranger Danger from me for his 8 year old grandson, contacted me to talk to me about it. He said that when he gave it to his grandson the boy enjoyed it so much that after reading it several times on his own, he then approached his grandmother and read it aloud to her. The man was so impressed by that experience that he purchased 10 more copies of it to hand out to children in one of the youth groups at his church. It's always good for an author to hear nice things about something they wrote, and to me, knowing that it could play a role in saving a life or perhaps even lives, it's an even better feeling. Who can know if maybe a child who reads this book might someday pass along what they learned from it, to one of their friends or classmates, or perhaps offer advice to someone after a stranger danger encounter about them talking to someone in authority about it :-).
