ABOUT ME...
I'm a happily married Christian father of five wonderful children, and thirteen delightful grand-children. I enjoy writing and hope that I will improve with each hour that I spend at the keyboard.
While currently employed with the Federal Government, I'm also a member of the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and the Florida Writers Association. I'm a former Girl Scout leader, and former counselor with the Florida Children's Home Society.
Having won several awards for poetry, I was blessed not long ago when two of my poems were selected to appear in the premier issue of a new writer's magazine. Knowing how children love metered rhyme, I've applied whatever poetic skills I may possess to some of my children's books.
Besides writing a "prepper" book about how to prepare for deadly viruses such as Ebola, Bird Flu, and other disasters, and penning a Stranger Danger picture book for children, one of my publishers recently released my YA Fairy Tale, and a novel about a young slave in 19th century Virginia. My latest work is a picture book for parents and educators called The ABC's of African American Inventions, and I have many other projects that are still in the works, and I hope to have more of my work released soon, starting with a children's picture book called Terry's Round House which talks about the many different kinds of homes there are out there.
